When Grace, Sophia and Hulda Quebe (pronounced kway-bee) take to a stage to play and sing their vintage-style three-part harmony, audiences are mesmerized. Add the swinging rhythm guitar of World Champion fiddler Joey McKenzie and the upright bass of Drew Phelps, and the Quebe Sisters Band becomes a force of nature.

Reaction is the same wherever the Fort Worth-based group goes, and it's been around! Highlights include the Grand Ole Opry, the Kennedy Center, NYC's Lincoln Center as well as major festivals, concert halls and corporate events across North America and Canada.

Performing a refreshing blend of their favorite styles of music - whether it's a western swing classic a la Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys, a hot jazz or swing standard (Benny Goodman), vintage country shuffle or western anthem that would do the Sons of the Pioneers proud, the QSB is phenomenal. The house comes down, too, when they launch into bluegrass or a traditional, Texas style fiddle tune.

Recently named Group of the Year by the Academy of Western Artists and recipient of the Crescendo Award by the Western Music Association, as well as nominations for Country group of the year by both the Dallas Observer and Ft. Worth Weekly, the QSB is performing coast to coast in support of their latest cd, TIMELESS .

TIMELESS, the band's debut album on FiddleTone Records, features the Sons' "So Long to the Red River Valley" along with Duke Ellington's "Take the 'A' Train," Spade Cooley's "Shame on You" and Hoagy Carmichael and Stuart Gorrell's "Georgia on My Mind" — a collection of band members' favorite tunes by their favorite artists, given the QSB-style golden touch.

BACK FOR THE 3rd STRAIGHT YEAR BY POPULAR DEMAND!

Born and raised in Ohio, Darrell McCall began his musical career by landing a slot as a Saturday monring DJ on a local radio station when he was 15 years old.  Around the same time, he was playing local dances and events as a musician.  After a short stint in the Army, he and childhood friend Johnny Paycheck moved to Nashville in 1958.  Eventually, Darrell became a studio harmony vocalist, singing on records by Faron Young, George Jones and Ray Price among others.  In a short time, the studio worm metamorphosed into road work, as he played bass and sang harmony for several different touring bands, including those of Young, Price and Hank Williams, Jr.

In 1977, Darrell teamed up with Willie Nelson on the song Lily Dale , which was awarded Best Duet that year by Cash Box magazine.

Justin Trevino

Justin Trevino's emergence as one of the hottest new country talents in Texas seems almost preordained.  Raised in the Austin area, he cut his teeth on some of the country's greatest artists, thanks to his father, and avid country fan and record collector.

Justin landed his first professional gig at 13, and by his freshman year in high school, he had formed his own band.  The group played in and around Austin, including a monthly stand at the Henry's Bar & Grill, a seminal venue for the currently red-hot Austin country scene where the likes of Junior Brown and Don Walser started building their local followings.

Jake Hooker was born listening to the sounds of traditional country music through his father's West Texas country band.  Jake began playing the bass at the age of seven and practiced diligently until he mastered the honky tonk sound.  Jake formed his own band at the age of 14 and began performing.  By the age of 18, Jake was playing bass and singing full time.  Jake moved to the Fort Worth area in 1998 where he quickly became the local favorite.

His love and passion for traditional country music never ceases.  There is no doubt that Jake is strongly influenced by the sounds of Ray Price, Johnny Bush, Faron Young, Leon Rausch and Darrell McCall.  He spends much of his spare time studying these artist's music in depth.  Jake's graceful and professional image on the bandstand, along with his voice and talented band, make his show unbeatable.

Jake Hooker and the Outsiders will be playing Friday night for the Cowgirl's Ball.
